ACEXI Applauds the Establishment of BP3I TNK: A Milestone in Accelerating Carbon Regulation and Trading in Indonesia

Brian Pramudita, Secretary-General of the Indonesian Carbon Emission Experts Association (ACEXI) and Managing Partner at BATS Consulting, has expressed high appreciation for the formation of the Carbon Management and Trading Regulatory Agency (BP3I TNK), which was recently announced by the government. Brian Pramudita stated that the establishment of BP3I TNK is a significant moment in accelerating the implementation of carbon regulations and taxes in Indonesia across various NDC sectors, as well as in driving the acceleration of carbon trading through IDX Carbon Indonesia.

"The establishment of BP3I TNK is a historic milestone in the effort to expedite regulations related to carbon taxation and emission management in Indonesia. With this agency, we can more swiftly regulate and implement effective carbon tax policies and facilitate transparent and sustainable carbon trading through IDX Carbon Indonesia," said Brian.

Brian also highlighted the vital role of BP3I TNK in addressing the global climate change challenge. According to him, BP3I TNK can be a driving force in encouraging industry and other sectors to actively participate in carbon trading, ultimately accelerating the achievement of national emission reduction targets.

"Climate change is a major challenge that requires a swift and coordinated response. With the acceleration of carbon trading supported by BP3I TNK, Indonesia can not only meet its international commitments but also strengthen its position as a leader in the regional carbon market," he added.

Brian Pramudita affirmed that ACEXI is ready to collaborate with BP3I TNK to ensure that the steps taken will lead to better and more sustainable carbon management in Indonesia.
