On November 28, 2023, BATS
Consulting in collaboration with the Indonesian Internet Service Providers
Association (APJII) organized a seminar focusing on the strategy of
"Initial Public Offering (IPO)," specifically tailored for Internet
Service Provider (ISP) companies. The event, held in Surabaya, Indonesia,
served as a platform for industry stakeholders to delve deeply into the
process, benefits, and associated requirements of IPOs.
The main speakers, Brian
Pramudita and Tumiran Tawirana, delivered comprehensive explanations covering
various aspects related to IPOs. They detailed the definition of IPOs, the
benefits derived from undertaking an IPO, and the prerequisites that companies
must fulfill before initiating the Go Public process. Additionally, they
provided a detailed overview of post-IPO company compliance processes,
including regulations from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), such as POJK
No. 30/POJK.04/2015 regarding the Realization Report of Fund Usage (LRPD) from
Public Offerings, and POJK No. 14/POJK04/2022 concerning the Submission of
Periodic Financial Reports by Issuers or Public Companies.
A significant highlight
emphasized by BATS Consulting was relevant Corporate Actions for companies that
have undergone the IPO process. They offered an in-depth explanation of the
prospectus, a critical document that must be understood by relevant parties
concerning the companys structure, risks, and IPO objectives.
The seminar was attended by
numerous industry players, representatives from ISP companies, stakeholders in
the capital markets, and those interested in the steps taken by companies
intending to go public. The interactive discussions and comprehensive information
presented made this event a highly beneficial platform for those seeking to
understand the dynamics of IPOs in the ISP sector.
Hopefully, this seminar
will serve as a foundation for ISP companies to take the appropriate steps in
executing an IPO and comprehending the responsibilities and processes required
after becoming a public entity.
