Create Chat Bot, DGT Targets Official Launch on Tax Day

Fresh news for taxpayers! Recently, the Directorate General of Taxes added another innovation in the field of technology to support its services.

Besides the SIAP integration system as the coretax system, DGT is currently creating another service innovation by creating DGT Chat Bot. In the future, this service will become one of the features presented on the DJP Online main page.

Currently the Chat Bot application is in the beta testing stage, or the trial phase by taxpayers as users. This was conveyed directly by the Director of Counseling, Service and Public Relations of DGT, Dwi Astuti at the Ministry of Finance Building a few days ago.

Dwi conveyed that the DGTs new service is targeted to be completed and can be launched effectively at the beginning of the second semester at the same time as tax day which falls on July 14, 2023.

"Maybe at the latest on tax day, we will launch (the DGT Chat Bot service)," he explained.

Chat Bot is designed to be able to operate to serve users 24/7. After this Chat Bot is officially launched, taxpayers can use it to obtain tax-related information without a time limit.

Over time Chat Bot continues to be developed. Questions asked via Chat Bot are answered with standardized answers.

Dwi emphasized that for complex taxpayer questions that cannot be accommodated by robots, they are still forwarded to tax officials, so that taxpayers will be connected to agents.

Currently, DJP Chat Bot identifies 600 service themes which will continue to grow. With this Chat Bot, it is hoped that tax information will be more easily accessible to the public.
